There are many videos on social media sharing dental care tips, but not all of them are useful or safe. The article discusses four popular tips that should be followed with caution.

The first tip concerns homemade bleach solutions, which may contain hydrogen peroxide or baking soda. The use of such drugs in high dosages can lead to serious consequences, such as gum burns, enamel damage and nerve inflammation.

The second tip concerns oil pulling, which, although it has its roots in traditional medicine, is not a particularly effective remedy compared to classic mouthwashes. Research shows that other products are much more effective at preventing plaque.
