Dr. Tina Ardon, an internal medicine and family medicine specialist at the Mayo Clinic in the US, emphasizes the importance of salmonellosis prevention and how to prevent it.
“I would like to remind you of the importance of regular hand washing, especially after contact with the outdoor environment, interacting with pets or their accessories. You should also regularly clean your pets’ bowls and toys, and be careful in choosing and providing high-quality fresh food for your pets, as well as for yourself,” explains Dr. Ardon.
