Among the specialist’s recommendations are cleaning the main rooms with a vacuum cleaner, caring for the car, lawn, garden, cleaning the kitchen after meals, taking care of pets and helping parents with younger children.

“It’s also important to remember that if a teen knows how to use a smartphone, they can also use other household appliances, such as a washing machine, dishwasher and oven,” says Shelley Fleiss.

The pediatrician advises not to overload teenagers with household responsibilities, especially if they have a lot of school and extracurricular activities. However, complete release from household chores is not a solution. The same applies to teenagers who have already got a job.
